EUROMBR has carefully selected partners with in house experience on MBR development and application. It is our belief that this consortium has the experience and the skills to bring a significant advance in the available micro-scale technologies for fermentation and biocatalysis processes. Indeed, despite promising case studies and technical developments during the past decade, there is still considerable work to be done to convert microbioreactor technology and microscale devices to practical applications in industry and research labs. This consortium will build scientific and social relationships that will extend far beyond this project. The experience of several groups in the network with FP7 projects and ITNs also strengthens this application.
